We didn’t have any problems finding this host in the northern neck of VA while we were touring the Chesapeake area. You are welcomed with a beautiful entrance with the sign and the vineyards in the background. The driveway is gravel and is graded well.
We checked-in with the host and signed their books, then they showed us where we needed to get settled in. They gave us several options and we opted for something more secluded further back. Once we did, we went wine tasting and they have quite a bit of good wine on their tasting menu. They have several tasting bars. We went in the back room since the front room was packed. The back room seems to be more intimate with darker ambiance and you can smell the oak barrels aging wine in the room.
We ended up getting a bottle of the Albarino white wine, a couple off the wine slushies and grabbed a brick oven pizza being served at the beautiful courtyard. They had a concert that evening and the place was packed.
The night was pretty quiet, and we rested well. The next morning, we heard some of the vineyard caretakers drive by. We departed after breakfast to our next destination.
Overall, this was a great host with excellent wine offerings, friendly staff, fantastic ambiance with the courtyard, and the concert was a bonus. Another great perk is that they have a cell tower nearby and we had excellent cell signal. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
